Staff and Students

The script for the Monday morning assembly which happens outside every week, as read by the grade 6 student leaders:

Good morning and welcome to our whole school assembly.
Our assembly is being held on the land of the Kulin Nation and we acknowledge them as the traditional land owners.
Please stand quietly for the National Anthem.

AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM
Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature’s gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history’s page,
let every stage Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We’ll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who’ve come across the seas
We’ve boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

Please remain standing for the school pledge.
As a proud student of Caulfield Junior College
I will do my best at all times and behave responsibly
I will be honest and reliable to the school community
I will respect the environment in which we live and learn
I will think of others besides myself
I will wear the school emblem with pride.

Please sit down quietly. It is now time for the student awards (one student per class).
We would like to give a round of applause to this week's lucky winners.
We would now like to invite Victoria to announce the who won the eggs for the week. (There a four chickens in a coop on the property).

This week's quote is: Don't tell the sky is the limit when there's footprints on the moon.
On behalf of all the student leaders we wish you a great and fun week of learning. Please wait for your teachers quietly.
